So, which is better: the book or the movie? I think a TV show would have been a better idea though I am glad the movie was made! I’m seeing Awkward meets Britain as I type this. I can’t help but think that this series would have made a better TV show.

The cast, from what I can remember, were what I pictured and I thought they all did a great job. The movie wasn’t as funny, but it had its moments. While lots of things where changed in the movie, you still got the general gist of Georgia’s world that is portrayed in the books. It sucked that it wasn’t initially released in North America, but it eventually made its way here and I remember having an awesome time watching it with my two friends who had also read the series. I was really excited when I learned they were making this into a movie. She is extremely witty and despite her and I having nothing in common, I want her for a best friend. It’s such a cast of characters and they all help make the books awesome, but it is definitely Georgia who steals the show. Georgia is crazy (in a good way!) and her antics and friends match her in every way. It had been such a long time since I read something that made me laugh out loud. While it took me a while to get into the book, once I did, it was hard to put down.
